COMMUNITY FLOAT FUND

At oGoFloat, we believe that everyone deserves the chance to recharge and rejuvenate, regardless of financial circumstances. That’s why we’re proud to offer the Community Float Fund—a program designed to provide free float therapy sessions to those who need it most.

Who Can Benefit?

If you’re feeling the need for a break but find that the cost of a float session is beyond your reach right now, we warmly invite you to apply for a session through the Community Float Fund. This judgement free program is here to help you access the self-care and nervous system support you deserve.

How It Works

  1. Apply: Simply fill out our online application form to join the general queue.

  2. Waitlist: Once you’ve applied, you'll be placed in the queue.

  3. Notification: When a float credit becomes available, we’ll contact you to schedule your session. Please note, we give priority to children and their caregivers.

How the Fund is Supported

The Community Float Fund is entirely sustained by generosity:

  • Our Contribution: oGoFloat donates at least one float session every month in loving memory of Stephen Brettl (read on to learn more).

  • Community Support: Our incredible community of donors and Float Club Members makes this initiative possible. Members who relocate or are unable to use their float credits often choose to donate them to the fund.

How You Can Get Involved

If you’d like to benefit from the fund: Fill out the application form, and we’ll reach out to schedule your float.

If you’d like to contribute to the fund: If you have float credits on your account you want to contribute, let us know by email or phone. You can purchase a float for the Community Float Fund on our gift card page.

Inspiration

This initiative is inspired by and lovingly dedicated to the memory of our dear friend and float member, Stephen Brettl. Before his passing, Stephen worked with us to design this program, sharing his vision of prioritizing children, their caregivers, and anyone in need of rest and relaxation. It is in his honor that we continue this mission.

Stephen was a lifelong resident of Penticton who built countless friendships throughout his life. Known for his vibrant storytelling, Stephen was graced with the gift of the gab, and we happily set aside extra time to chat when he came to float. He was an Ironman, a devoted community supporter, and a longtime volunteer with the food hamper program at Penticton Catholic Church.

We miss Stephen deeply and are honored to carry forward this fund as a testament to his spirit of generosity and community. Thank you for helping us keep his legacy alive.

policies

You may fill out the form for yourself or on behalf of your child. Anyone can apply to receive a Community Fund Float.

Please note that our standard late cancellation and no-show policy still applies to Community Fund Floats. A failure to show or a late cancellation within 24 hours may result in a warning, a $25 fee, the requirement to prepay next time, or the forfeiture of a float credit. While we'll ask for a credit card to reserve the appointment, no payment will be due as long as you show up.
